I.Substrate Preparation & Surveying

Substrate Requirements: The wall surface must be flat, dry, and free of oil stains. If the flatness deviation exceeds 4 mm, a leveling mortar coat is required.

Surveying & Setting Out: Based on the architectural drawings, mark horizontal and vertical control lines on the wall to determine the precise installation position for each individual panel.

II.Preparation of Specialized Bonding Mortar

Use high-performance polymer bonding mortar. Mix thoroughly with water according to the specified ratio.

Note: Mix only as much as needed for immediate use. The prepared mortar should generally be used within 2 hours.

III. Panel Installation (Core Step)

Adhesive Pattern: The “Strip-and-Dot” (Ribbon-and-Dab) method is standard. Apply a continuous ribbon of adhesive around the perimeter of the panel back, with 5–8 evenly distributed adhesive “dots” in the center.

Bonding Area: The effective bonding area must not be less than 40% of the total panel surface. For high-rise buildings, this requirement is even stricter, reaching 60% or higher.

Mounting: Press the panel onto the predetermined position. Use a long leveling ruler (straightedge) to ensure perfect flatness and vertical alignment.

IV.Installation of Mechanical Anchors

Drill holes at the panel joints (or pre-engineered slots) and install mechanical anchors—typically metal expansion bolts with pressure plates.

Function: While the bonding mortar provides long-term load-bearing capacity, the mechanical anchors provide a Safety Redundancy, preventing panel detachment even under extreme wind pressures.

V. Joint Treatment & Weather Sealing

Backing: Insert polyethylene (PE) backer rods into the panel joints at a consistent depth.

Sealing: Apply masking tape to protect the panel edges. Fill the joints with silicone architectural sealant, smooth it with a spatula, and finally remove the masking tape.

VI.Surface Cleaning

After the sealant has fully cured, remove the protective film from the panel surface and clean the construction site.
