Aerogel: The “Black Tech” of Insulation, Breaking the Limits of Physical Performance

Under the extreme climate challenges of 2026, traditional insulation materials are facing unprecedented trials. However, a material known as “Solid Smoke”—Nano-Aerogel—is completely overturning our perception of “thermal insulation” with its infinitesimal density and extraordinary thermal resistance. As a technology-driven manufacturer equipped with modernized production lines, RSinsulationboard invites you to unveil the mystery behind this “black tech.”

What is Aerogel?

Aerogel is the world’s least dense solid material, composed of 99.8% air within its structure. Nanoporous Structure: Its pore size is significantly smaller than the mean free path of air molecules (approx.70 nm). This means air molecules are virtually immobilized within the structure, effectively “locking down” the paths of heat conduction.

Ultra-low Thermal Conductivity: The Aerogel composite blankets produced by RSinsulationboard can achieve a thermal conductivity as low as 0.018W/(m·K) . In comparison, traditional Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) typically stays above 0.030W/(m·K).

Why is it the “Infrastructure Choice” of 2026?

In the era of Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) and precision industrial sectors, Aerogel demonstrates irreplaceable advantages:  Ultra-thin Advantage In building retrofitting projects, space is incredibly precious.

The Pain Point : To achieve the same insulation effect, traditional materials require a thickness of  10——15cm.

The RS Solution: Only 2–3cm of Aerogel blanket is needed to achieve equivalent performance, significantly maximizing space utilization for both interiors and exteriors.

Extreme Climate Resilience : Whether in the 50℃ heat of the Middle East or the freezing winters of Northern Europe, the molecular structure of Aerogel remains steadfastly stable.

Applications : It is the optimal solution for LNG storage tanks, cryogenic logistics, and high-precision industrial pipe insulation.

Class A1 Non-combustibility & Durability (Safety & Longevity) Unlike organic insulation, Aerogel is an inorganic material.

Fire Safety : Perfectly complies with CE certification requirements for Class A1 non-combustibility.

Weather Resistance : Boasting a hydrophobicity rate of up to 99%, it will not fail due to moisture absorption in humid environments, ensuring a service life of over 25 years.

RSinsulationboard: Leading the “Mass Production Revolution” of Aerogel

In the past, Aerogel was difficult to popularize due to high costs, but RSinsulationboard is changing the game. Our production base utilizes an automated Supercritical Drying process, which significantly reduces energy consumption and production costs.

Systematic Integration: We don’t just produce Aerogel blankets; we integrate them into our Integrated Composite Board Systems, launching “Ultra-thin Series” exterior wall solutions for high-end landmark buildings.

Future Applications: Beyond Construction

As the global decarbonization process accelerates, RSinsulationboard is exploring furthr possibilities for Aerogel.

EV Firewalls : Thermal insulation for battery packs.

Aerospace Equipment : Lightweight thermal protection for extreme environments.
